I have slowly been finishing each of these pre-printed stitcheries. 6 are now finished and I only have 3 to go.
This is what I have done so far:
The stitcheries on the pattern are mainly in pink, brown and green, to match the colours used in the borders. I haven't decided what fabric to use for the borders, but there will probably be more colour, so I am doing these in the colours that appeal to me. The original also uses colour pencils to in-fill sections. I haven't decided whether to do that or not, as yet. If I do, it will only be small areas.
I also have to decide if this will be a wall hanging (not much wall space left in our house! lol) or a lap quilt.
What have you been working on as a longer term project?

ReplyDeleteI enjoy seeing your stitcheries. Looks like you're using variegated thread too, right? I've got two stitcheries going, and one needs to be finished in the near future. It's a "Jungle Friends" birth sampler for grandson #3 who will be one in November. Also, I'm plugging away on the stitchery "Snowmen A to Zzzz" by Crabapple Hill. I'm up to the letter "J" so I surely won't finish this one by this winter! Long term. I'll say!
ReplyDeleteThose stitcheries are so cute! All my projects seem like longterm projects these days. I just font seem to have much time to sew. I start a new job soon that is closer to home so hopefully I'll make some progress!
