Just finished my 1st Swoon-along block!
This has been a struggle for me...my right hand and fingers aren't really ready for all the precise cutting and piecing required. This is also the first time that I have made Flying Geese units! Talk about ambitious!
I will need to do a little trimming and some of the points don't meet, but overall, I am happy with the outcome.
Once it is part of the quilt, I will hardly notice it...or if I do, I will remember the difficulty and how I perservered! :)
I am using FQs from moda's Blush by Basic Grey collection, along with a white background. Lots of pink, aqua, chocolate and subtle cranberry...

Great job on a complicated block!
ReplyDeleteHow fun to read this post... it seems everyone is swooning these days! I just came from Angela's blog, Cuttopieces and she was actually battling her swoon! I'm so glad I'm outside the arena, watching others make this one. Yours is beautiful, Lindi. You're doing great!
ReplyDeleteLooks good to me Lindi for a first attempt and such pretty colours.
ReplyDeleteIt looks great, Lindi. I can't see anything wrong with your points and by the time you square up it will all be very cool indeed. :)
